"Today is the day when Azerbaijanis were subjected to genocide in 1918. We never forgot the Khojaly massacre, commemorated the Khojaly Genocide again a while ago. I commemorate tens of thousands of our killed compatriots with respect," said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the informal meeting of leaders of Turkic Council, APA reports.
"Our standing by Azerbaijan for protection of the Turkish heritage in Karabakh with all our opportunities is essential. All of us should continue to stand by Azerbaijan together," stressed the Turkish President.
