Flights between Azerbaijan and Russia resumed

Russia has officially resumed regular flights with Azerbaijan since Monday, the relevant decision was announced by the Russian government on February 3, APA reports quoting TASS.

Airlines of both countries will be able to operate two flights a week on the Moscow-Baku route. Russia's Aeroflot said last week that it plans to operate two flights a week from Baku from February 17.

Azerbaijan's national airline Azal has announced plans to launch special flights to Moscow from February 17. At the same time, access to Azerbaijan is currently closed for tourists.

Only diplomats, foreigners with Azerbaijani citizenship, foreigners with work permits or residence permits and students can enter the country.

Due to the pandemic, flights between the two countries have been suspended since March last year.
