News on transportation of military ammunition to Armenia from Serbia through the territory of Georgia is misinformation, reads the statement of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, APA’s Georgian bureau reports.

The statement notes that Georgia and Azerbaijan are strategic partner countries and there are long term friendship relations between the people of two countries and the media outlets disseminating misinformation, try to overshadow relations between the two countries.

“We emphasize once again that Georgia and Azerbaijan have a deep and developing strategic partnership and there are long-term friendly relations between our peoples. Both countries play an important role in the region and we implement many joint projects of regional and global significance. This is biased information and is aimed at artificially creating problems on relations between the two strategic partners,” statement of Georgian MFA reads.

Remind that a number of mass media outlets have disseminated information regarding the delivery of a large number of mortars of different calibers to Armenia from Serbia. It has been noted that mortars have been transferred to Armenia through Georgia.
