Georgian Minister: “New maps submitted to Jeyhun Bayramov on delimitation of borders”

“The commission on delimitation and demarcation of the Georgian-Azerbaijani state border will continue its work in a new composition as soon as the pandemic allows,” Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani told journalists, APA’s bureau in Georgia reports.

He noted that discussion was held in this direction during the visit of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov to Tbilisi in September and new maps were submitted to him.

Minister said that both sides are interested in the commission’s continuing its work: “We had a very sincere and meaningful conversation. We discussed new terms in detail and submitted newly-found maps, as well as results of experts. Certainly, we are ready for continuation of the commission its work in a new composition as soon as the pandemic allows, both sides are interested in it. We are strategic partners.”
