“Turkey should take an active part in processes in South Caucasus, as well as in the protection of the peace which is still fragile,” said Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan at webinar titled "The next 10 years of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations" organized by the Center for International Relations Analysis and the Turkish Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Studies (SETA), APA reports.
Assistant to the President noted that a system to ensure the sustainability of peace, truce in the region should be established: “We have seen very close cooperation of Azerbaijan and Turkey within the framework of international organizations. Today we are very proud of that Mr. Volkan (Volkan Bozkir-ed.) from brotherly Turkey is in the office at the UN. Ilham Aliyev while receiving Secretary-General of the Turkish Council noted that we should achieve its development as an organization.”
