“Appeals of citizens, who want to return to Azerbaijan from countries other than Russia, have been fully registered by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and Embassies so far, there is information in this regard”, said today Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration at the press conference organized by Task Force under Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.
He said by taking into consideration large amount of Azerbaijanis in Russia, launch of portal entitled “I am going home” has been considered: “Situation regarding Azerbaijani citizens in other countries is clear. Azerbaijan’s Diplomatic Representations have submitted information to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Task Force. That is why, currently, there is no need for creation of apply opportunities for citizens, living in other countries in the portal entitled “I am going home”. If there is a need, the issue may be reviewed in the future.”
Chairman of State Committee on Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov noted Call Center is operating in Consulates.
“There is exact information on number of Azerbaijani citizens in countries other than Russia”, noted Fuad Muradov.
