Today, the Observation Mission of the Czech parliament has held a press conference, APA reports.

Today, the Observation Mission of the Czech parliament observing parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan has held a press conference.

The member of the Deputies’ Chamber Yaroslav Holik said he observed elections at 16 polling stations: “We both checked the voters’ lists, and shot pictures of polling stations where election was held. We are very satisfied with conditions of implementation of the elections”.

Y. Holik noted that during observation he noticed 4 differences between the elections held in his country and the elections held here: “When elections are held in Czech Republic, the list reflecting names and surnames of voters is available at the voting stations. A voter just finds his (her) name and surname in that list and shows his identity card and after that puts a tick in front of his (her) name in the list. But in Azerbaijan a voter should confirm with his signature that he has cast his vote. On the other hand, the conditions have also been created for people with restricted visual sense in Azerbaijan. This gratifies me. Besides, the finger of each voter entering the polling station is dyed so that he couldn’t vote for the second time. During my activity, I witnessed the use of this method in Cambodia as well. This is a very right step”.

Y. Holik brought to the notice that 4 groups of observers have arrived in Azerbaijan from the Czech Republic in order to observe the elections.

Y. Holik said in regard to Garabagh problem of Azerbaijan that today the Azerbaijani people are the people exposed to the separation problem. “For instance, I can mention the Nagorno Garabagh problem. This is not a good case”.
