Issues of military-technical cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan were discussed

A delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev visited the Islamic Republic of Iran on December 22, the Cabinet of Ministers told APA

In the framework of the visit, Mr. Mustafayev met with the head of the Presidential Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Vaezi, Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian, Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Support Amir Khatami.

During the meetings, Iranian officials extended their congratulation on the liberation of the Azerbaijani territories occupied for many years. It was stated that the Iranian side was ready to provide full support in the reconstruction and restoration of the liberated territories. They also discussed the current state and future prospects of cooperation between the two countries in road transport, energy, economic and trade, infrastructure, as well as military-technical spheres.

During the meeting at the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Support, the two countries exchanged views on military-technical cooperation. The Iranian side expressed readiness to share its experience and capabilities in the field of mine and explosive ordnance disposal in the liberated territories with the Azerbaijani side.
