Jankauskas: “Dialogue on security issues should be held at least once per year”

Azerbaijan and EU remained satisfied with the “Dialogue on security issues” held in Baku, said Kestutis Jankauskas, Head of EU Delegation to Azerbaijan in his statement to journalists, APA reports.

He said this had been the second meeting already, because the first phase of the “Dialogue on security issues” was held in Baku in October 2018.

K. Jankauskas noted that the meeting had been held at a high level, and the delegation with a large number of members participated in this dialogue. The Head of the EU delegation to Azerbaijan also noted that 30 experts from 14 various agencies and institutes had participated in this meeting. The EU diplomat said the purpose of the meeting was to conduct mutual exchange of ideas about international, regional situation and problems and to discuss cooperation between the parties.

K. Jankauskas stressed significance of the sustainability of the “Dialogue of security issues” and added that this dialogue should be held at least once per year in Brussels or Baku.
