Japan ambassador condemns terror acts against civilians in Ganja

The head of Executive Power of Ganja city Niyazi Bayramov has met with newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Junichi Wada, Executive Power of Ganja city told APA.

Greeting the guest Niyazi Bayramov gave detailed information about industry, culture, sports and other fields of Ganja city which has an ancient history.

Bringing to attention the rocket shelling of Ganja city located far away from the front line by Armenian armed forces during the Patriotic War, the head of Executive Power noted that as a result, 26 civilians died, more than 120 people seriously injured, a serious blow was inflicted to residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, historical and religious monuments, educational and medical institutions.

Japan ambassador to Azerbaijan noted that he was very pleased with the meeting. He said that his first official visits to the regions started from Ganja. The ambassador expressing his disappointment about the events during the war and condemned terror acts against civilians.
