Khalaf Khalafov: "Azerbaijan unambiguously supports all steps of Turkey"

“Azerbaijan mobilized all its capabilities in order to strengthen unity of Turkic states during its chairmanship over the Turkic Council”, said deputy minister of Foreign Affairs Khalaf Khalafov at the webinar entitled as “Regional geopolitical polarizations and Turkey-Azerbaijan relations” held today by joint organizational support of the Center for Analysis of International Relations and the Center for Strategic Researches of Turkey’s MFA, APA reports.
Kh. Khalafov said Azerbaijan unambiguously supports all steps of Turkey who has historically played an important role in the development and progress of the Mediterranean Sea region and believes that the tension will find its solution soon: “Azerbaijan will always stand by Turkey in this struggle”.
The deputy minister of Foreign Affairs noted that the Caucasian Islamic Army commanded by Nuru pasha and the Azerbaijani volunteers liberated Baku from Dashnak and Bolshevik occupation 102 years ago: “The relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey have never been at such a high level as now. With the support of Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the development of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations has assumed irreversible character. We as “one nation, two states” have the potential to come up from a unified position in strategic issues”.
