MFA: We support fair and comprehensive solution of Palestine problem on the basis of “two states principle”

On February 3, the extraordinary meeting of Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs was held in Jeddah City of Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) told APA.

The meeting was convened in regard to the peace agreement of the US Administration related to the Israeli-Palestinian issue and entitled “Agreement of the Century”.

At the meeting, the Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ramiz Hasanov.

Delivering a speech during discussions, R. Hasanov drew the attention of participants to Azerbaijan’s position on the issue. Deputy Minister stated Azerbaijan always demonstrates solidarity on the Palestine issue and supports the fair and comprehensive solution of Palestine issue on the basis of the “two-state principle”.

It has been noted Azerbaijan is loyal to the two-state solution of the issue, based on international law and UN resolutions.

A joint statement on the results of the meeting of the Executive Committee of the OIC has been adopted at the end of the meeting.
