Meeting held with Secretary of Serbian National Security Council in Baku - UPDATED

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Secretary of the National Security Council of Serbia Nebojsa Stefanovic has today arrived in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
Secretary of Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramil Usubov and Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev met with Nebojsa Stefanovic to discuss current state of bilateral relations between the two countries.
The sides exchanged views on prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in various fields, including in political and security areas, and joint steps to be taken in this regard. The regular political dialogue and friendly relations between Azerbaijani and Serbian presidents were hailed, a great potential for further development of comprehensive cooperation between the two countries was pointed out at the meeting.
They praised close cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia within international organizations and noted the importance of supporting the principles of territorial integrity and inviolability of borders.
The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
A meeting is being held with Nebojsa Stefanovic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior and Secretary of National Security Council of the Republic of Serbia, APA reports.
Secretary of Security Council under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramil Usubov, Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev, Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov, and Azerbaijani Ambassador to Serbia Eldar Hasanov attend the meeting.
Note that on August 7, President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic made a phone call to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. President Aleksandar Vucic extended condolences over the killing of Azerbaijani servicemen during the events on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in July as a result of Armenian provocations. At the same time, the Serbian President expressed his regret over the use of Serbian-made weapons by Armenia during those military clashes. He noted that a high-level Serbian delegation would soon be dispatched to Azerbaijan to investigate the situation.
