Mexico's El Universal newspaper publishes article on Armenia's latest military provocation

An article titled "Energy and territorial disputes threaten to reignite war in the Caucasus" has been published in Mexico's most influential newspaper El Universal in English and Spanish languages, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Mexico told APA.
The article first of all notes that recent military clashes between Armenia and Azerbaijan have alarmed the international community over the risk of yet another war in the Caucasus. It has been noted that military clashes have occurred on the border of two countries, and this time a new factor has been in the conflict, the clashes took place near strategic energy and transport projects connecting the South Caucasus, Central Asia and Europe, threatening the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, which pass through the Tovuz region and play an important role in Europe's energy security.
The article stresses that Nagorno Garabagh belongs to Azerbaijan and is recognized by the international community, as well as Mexico.
In the article, it was noted that “Turkey strongly condemns recent military aggression by Armenia against Azerbaijan, which was a blatant breach of international law. To prevent any escalation, all responsible actors of the international community should call on Armenia to desist from further hostility against Azerbaijan.”
At the part of article subtitled Peace and security it was noted that The embassy accused Armenia of ethnic cleansing against 800,000 Azerbaijanis in the occupied territories. It underscored that four resolutions of the UN Security Council, as well as other documents from international bodies, including the OSCE and the European Council, demand the immediate liberation of all occupied territories in Azerbaijan and the return of displaced people to their homes.
In the end, information is provided on the importance of the Southern Gas Corridor implemented in the region with the participation of Azerbaijan and Turkey, in this regard, the TAP and TANAP pipeline projects.
