Minister: “Nagorno Garabagh conflict should be solved in framework of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity”

On September 23 of the current year, minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov participated in the annual Ministerial Meeting of the developing countries not having access to Open Sea held in videoconference format, Press service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) told APA.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi, President of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly Volkan Bozkir and the UN General secretary Antonio Guterres delivered speech at the opening session of the meeting dedicated to the topic of “Partnership in order to implement in accelerated mode the Vienna Activity Program during the period of COVID-19 and to achieve sustainable development in the developing countries not having access to Open Sea” held by the initiative of Kazakhstan chairing the group of the developing countries not having access to Open Sea.

Representatives of 28 countries and international organizations participated in the common debates of the event.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov delivering a speech at the event, briefed the event participants on the measures implemented by Azerbaijan in the framework of fight against COVID-19, as well as the contribution made by Azerbaijan in order to strengthen efforts at global scale in this regard. It was stressed that Azerbaijan didn’t suspend flow of supplies during the pandemic attaching great significance to regional cooperation.

The information was provided by minister Jeyhun Bayramov about Azerbaijan’s intra- and inter-regional transport coordination projects including main infrastructure projects targeting increase of transit potential across Eurasian continent, as well as transport sector infrastructure modernization activities implemented in our country.

In the end of the speech, minister Jeyhun Bayramov drew attention of the event participants to Armenia’s military provocation on Azerbaijan-Armenia border in July of the current year, and stressed that this country’s armed forces targeted important energy and transport infrastructure of Azerbaijan. It was brought to the notice of the participants that this infrastructure represents significance not only for Azerbaijan’s economic sustainability, but also for the wider Eurasian region. The minister emphasized the importance of solution of Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Garabagh conflict on the basis of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of its internationally recognized borders.
