Nazarbayev’s proposal on changing name of Turkic Council supported

First President of Kazakhstan Honorary Chairman of the Turkish Council Nursultan Nazarbayev’s proposal on changing the name of Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States has been supported, noted in the statement adopted on final of the informal meeting of the leaders of the Turkic Council member states, APA reports.

Note that an instruction has been given to the ministers of foreign affairs and General Secretariat on the preparation of a draft resolution to be adopted at the VIII Summit to be held in Turkey in 2021.

Recall that N. Nazarbayev has delivered a speech on a proposal to change the name of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States to the Organization of Turkic States at the VII Summit of the Turkic Council held in Baku in 2019.
