New Azerbaijan Party has sent a letter of protest to the United Russia party regarding the biased speech of the member of Russian State Duma V. Milonov against Azerbaijan, the press service of New Azerbaijan Party told APA.
The letter says that recently a member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from the United Russia party Vitaly Milonov, during an interview with the Armenian and Russian media, made insulting statements against the Azerbaijani people, demonstrating an openly biased position and hatred.
It is noted that V. Milonov's illegal visit to the Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan during the 44-day Patriotic War caused serious discontent of the Azerbaijani public, his name was included in the list of foreign citizens who are prohibited from entering Azerbaijan.
It is noted that the New Azerbaijan Party strongly condemns the provocative behavior and offensive statements of the State Duma member V. Milonov against our country and notes that such cases completely contradict the spirit of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia.
“We hope that the United Russia party and its parliamentary faction will take appropriate measures to ensure that the representatives of the party in the State Duma of the Russian Federation do not voice such rash and biased statements regarding the Republic of Azerbaijan in the future,” the letter says.
