President: “Agreement has been reached for bringing the most modern types of weapons produced in Turkey to Azerbaijan”

“During the period of war, the whole world saw the quality of defense industry of Turkey. It is not a secret for the world anymore. Azerbaijan has skillfully used Turkish-made defense systems and this has given us a great advantage in the war,” said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the press conference held in a video format for local and foreign journalists, APA reports.

The President noted that these contacts continue after the war too. “I should note that new agreements have been signed. An agreement has been reached with the Turkish side in order to bring the most modern weapons made in Turkey to Azerbaijan. New agreements have been signed and this will strengthen our military power to a significant extent. As you know, Turkey and Azerbaijan conduct joint training on a regular basis. Less training was held due to pandemics last year. However, in 2019, training was held more than 10 times. And this year, it has already been held in Kars.

Works will be conducted in this field. We want to see Turkish companies in the liberated lands in many areas, and I am sure we will. In the works of the construction, structure, restoration of our historical monuments. Therefore, there will be a lot of work to be done. We will continue to be together.”
