President and Chief executive officer of the World Academy of Art & Science Garry Jacobs has addressed a letter to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
The letter reads as follows:
"Your Excellency,
The World Science and Fine Arts Academy is tracking with great concern the events taking place currently in Nagorno Garabagh. We ask God’s mercy on souls of people who died and wish recovery to the wounded people. We, the academicians, believe that in the year marking the 75th anniversary of the UN, everybody should show respect to resolutions of the UN Security Council and behave in accordance with them.
During the last ten years, we have closely cooperated with our ally, Nizami Ganjavi International Center in the area of promotion of dialogue, tolerance and understanding. We hope that this will continue to be of benefit to the world".
