“Provocative acts of Charlie Hebdo magazine on Islamic religion, the prophet of Islam is an insult to the sacred feelings of all Muslims all over the world, is a blow to intercultural and interfaith dialogue efforts which our modern world is in great need of,” said Assistant to President Hikmat Hajiyev, APA reports.

According to H. Hajiyev it is not the first time that Charlie Hebdo commits acts of hostility against religious beliefs.

“The magazine with its islamophobic activity, in fact, abuses freedom of speech, press and promotes hatred, religious discrimination and violence.

We also consider unacceptable Charlie Hebdo magazine’s targeting dear Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of the brotherly Republic of Turkey, and strongly condemn it.

In recent days the attempts to demonstrate silence to the offending and threatening by Armenia, of the journalist of TF1 TV chanel of France who prepared objective reportage, justifying Charlie Hebdo's provocations by hiding behind freedom of expression raise a number of questions.

"Charlie Hebdo's actions show once again how important the issue of responsible journalism is today," said the Assistant to the President.
