Sahiba Gafarova addressed letter to chairman of Pakistan’s Parliament regarding adoption of resolution condemning Armenian aggression

Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova addressed a letter to chairman of Pakistan’s National Assembly Asad Qaiser regarding adoption of resolution condemning the Armenian aggression in the Pakistani Parliament, the Press and public relations department of the Azerbaijani Parliament told APA.

The Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament expressed in the letter her deep gratitude on behalf of all members of Milli Mejlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan and on her own behalf to all members of Pakistan’s National Assembly headed by Asa Qaiser and highly appreciated adoption of such a resolution by the Pakistani Parliament, welcomed realization of this initiative being a triumph of justice.
The Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament noted that Azerbaijan attaches great significance to further deepening in the future of the existing close relations between Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. It was stated that the strengthening of cooperation between parliaments of our countries from now on will serve for comprehensive development of relations between our peoples. The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has always supported Azerbaijan’s righteous position in the issues concerning our people. In this sense, the resolute stance put forward by fraternal Pakistan in regard to another aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan beginning from September 27 may be specially emphasized. The last resolution adopted by Pakistan’s National Assembly is also an important support to the counteroffensive operation implemented by the Republic of Azerbaijan against the Armenian aggression and aimed at restoration of territorial integrity.

"Taking into consideration the increasing role of the parliamentary diplomacy in the contemporary international relations, we think that the resolution condemning Armenia’s aggression against Nagorno Garabagh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani civilian population represents great significance in terms of application of the parliamentary criterion to elimination of this aggression", is noted in the letter.
