“As PACE President Rik Daems said, we should not only talk about countries, but also talk with countries. It is very essential. From that point of view, they want to draw the PACE to the wrong direction with such debate themes,” said head of Delegation of Azerbaijan to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Samad Seyidov in his speech in the spring session of the PACE today through teleconference, APA’s bureau in Britain reports.

He objected to the suggestion of discussing the issue regarding military hostages in the PACE as a theme of debate: “Azerbaijan has always wanted peace and is already doing its best for it. Such themes of debate cause obstacles to peace. Attempts of putting such themes into discussion without knowing its details make the issue greater, cause more obstacles for peace.”
