“Snap parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are being observed by 358 observers from 41 countries. Election observation is a common practice and we conduct election observation in all OSCE countries,” Arthur Gerasimov, special coordinator of the OSCE short-term observation mission told APA.

According to him, the observation mission has recently held observations in the elections held in Belarus and Uzbekistan: “Our observation mission is invited by the Azerbaijani government. This is associated with the principles and commitments of member countries of OSCE. The members of the international observation mission met with the Central Election Commission, representatives of civil society, political parties, candidates, experts before the election day and were informed. We have enough information regarding the election. I can say about Election Day that our hundreds of observers who are members of the international mission are holding their observations in Baku, Ganja, Sumgait, and other regions. After completing our observations we will hold a press conference tomorrow is based on the information we have.”
