Turkey appoints new Ambassador to Azerbaijan

Turkey has appointed a new ambassador to Azerbaijan, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavusoglu said, APA's local bureau reports.

Mr. Cavusoglu said Ahmet Demirok, former Turkish Ambassador to Qatar in 2013-2017, has been appointed as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Azerbaijan.

Mr. Demirok was born on August 21, 1970 in the city of Konya, Turkey.

Note that the current ambassador Erkan Ozoral's diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan is coming to an end.
