Turkish Minister: The ship carrying Farman Ismailov's body anchored at Port Gentil in Gabon

Hijacked by sea pirates on 23 January off the coast of Nigeria, the Mozart, owned by a Turkish company, anchored at 11 o'clock today in Port Gentil in Gabon, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey Adil Karaismayiloglu said, APA's local bureau reports.

The body of the Azerbaijani engineer Farman Ismayilov and 3 crew members are on the ship. The Minister expressed condolences to the Azerbaijani people in connection with the engineer killed on the ship.

The minister noted that all funds were mobilized to free 15 crew members taken hostage by sea pirates.

Recall that on January 23, the ship "Mozart" owned by a Turkish company was attacked by sea pirates off the coast of Nigeria.

15 of 19 people on board were taken hostage, and one was killed. Azerbaijani engineer Farman Ismayilov was killed.
