“They have tried to surround us with terror belt, especially along the Syrian border, it should not be forgotten. Attempts have been made to usurp the rights of our nation and the Turkish Cypriots in the Eastern Mediterranean,” said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his speech in a video format, APA reports.
The President noted that Turkey has been subjected to many such injustices, open and secret sanctions: “Despite numerous double standards we faced, we did not back down from protecting our interests. With our operations conducted outside our borders, we have broken the terrorist chain in northern Syria in three different places. We have cleared more than 8,200 square kilometers of territory from ISIS and YPG terrorists with our operations. We prevented attempts to arrest our country off the coast of Antalya. As in the ending of the occupation in Karabakh, we have successfully implemented our every initiative.”
