Turkish ambassador: “We provide all possible support to Azerbaijan in issue of mines too”

“As in all fields we will continue to support Azerbaijan in the issue of mines too,” Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Erkan Ozoral told journalists, APA reports.

The ambassador noted that Armenia’s not providing mine maps to Azerbaijan so far is contradictory with international law: “We demand these maps be provided in the shortest time. On the other side, as Turkey, we support Azerbaijan in demining liberated territories from the occupation. Currently, there are Turkish mine clearers in the area too. They are working together with the Azerbaijani brothers to open up those areas for living. We also support the training of demining workers in both Turkey and Azerbaijan.”
