“Azerbaijan is an important country for the UN,” said the President of the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Volkan Bozkir who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, APA reports.
He emphasized that a special session of the UN General Assembly dedicated to COVID-19 on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev was held during his presidency: “The special session ended with great success. For the first time since the pandemic, strong messages were delivered at the UN about COVID-19.”
Volkan Bozkir noted that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received him today. According to him, at the meeting with the Azerbaijani President, they discussed the current situation in the region and issues on the UN agenda.
