"There are tragic pages in the history of each country. It is January 20 for Azerbaijan," Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladyslav Kanevskyi wrote on Facebook in his post regarding January 20 tragedy, APA reports.
Ambassador noted that on the same day, thousands of Azerbaijanis visit the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate those killed during the "Bloody January" events, an act of bloody suppression of the movement for the independence of Azerbaijan by Soviet troops:
"I am sorry for your loss, we did not forget," reads the post of the Ambassador.
