Uzbek President congratulated President Ilham Aliyev

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has sent a congratulatory letter to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.

The congratulatory letter reads:

"Dear Ilham Heydar oglu.

I am very pleased to express my sincere congratulations and best wishes on your birthday.

We know and appreciate you as an experienced and capable statesman, a glorious leader who has won the great love and trust of the Azerbaijani people, a prominent political figure who has helped to comprehensively increase the country's prestige in the international arena, as well as a close friend of Uzbekistan.

At the same time, let me once again congratulate Your Excellency on the agreement reached through your efforts on the completion of military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh. These very important decisions, adopted in accordance with the resolutions and documents of the United Nations, are of great importance for ensuring lasting peace and sustainable development in the entire South Caucasus region.

I am confident that as a result of the forthcoming high-level meetings, as well as our joint efforts, our multifaceted relations in the political, trade, economic, transport, communications, cultural and humanitarian spheres will rise to a completely new level.

I take this opportunity to wish you good health, family happiness, success in your high state activity, and peace and prosperity to the brotherly people of Azerbaijan."
