Zalkaliani to discuss 3+3 platform with Azerbaijani, Turkish FMs

Candidate for the post of Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani will conduct discussions with counterparts from Azerbaijan and Turkey on the 3+3 platform, said David Zalkaliani at the Parliamentary Committee meeting, APA's bureau in Georgia reports.
According to him, a very complex situation appeared in the region and the final decision on the suggested platforms should be adopted by three countries of the South Caucasus.
"A very complex situation appeared in the region, we see different important platforms such as 3+3, 3+2 are suggested. The issue requires the conduction of a dialogue with partner countries and adoption of a decision is the responsibility of just three countries of the South Caucasus. I have conducted discussions with our Azerbaijani and Armenian counterparts on certain issues in this regard. I will also hold discussions with our Azerbaijani and Turkish partners regarding the issue," Zalkaliani noted.
He stressed that a consensus should be reached among three countries of the South Caucasus and cooperation potential among regional countries should be showed to the whole world.
D. Zalkaliani also noted that after the postponement of the 9th trilateral meeting of Georgian-Azerbaijani-Turkish FMs, scheduled to be held on February 19 in Baku, he made a contact with the sides and expressed readiness to meet and conduct discussions on current issues in near future.
