Azerbaijani FM met with the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates

Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Anwar Gargash on the sidelines of the 18th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement in Baku, APA reports citing the Ministry.

At the meeting, Minister Elmar Mammadyarov presented the medal dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan to his counterpart from the UAE and Foreign Minister Anwar Gargash expressed his sincere gratitude for the award.

The sides expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates.

Minister Anwar Gargash thanked Azerbaijan for the high-level Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement and expressed his congratulations to the Azerbaijani side for the chairmanship in the Non-Aligned Movement.

Minister Elmar Mammadyarov noted that high-level reciprocal visits play an important role in the development of relations between the two countries. He underlined the significance of Anwar Gargash`s participation at the Ministerial Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement held in Baku.

Minister Anwar Gargash said that bilateral relations between the two countries are developing successfully, and noted with pleasure that the number of UAE tourists visiting Azerbaijan is increasing year by year.

The Ministers also discussed the regional security issues of mutual interest.

At the end of the meeting, Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Anwar Gargash wrote his heartfelt words in the commemorative book dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
