The appeal is aimed at attracting the international community’s attention to the fact that the Armenian troops haven’t still left the territories of Azerbaijan, though 25 years pass since the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, said Tural Ganjaliyev, Chairman of the “Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh” Public Union, ONA reports.

He stated that the objective is to attract the attention of the most reputable organization to the conflict: “UN Security Council has accepted four resolution regarding Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict. These resolutions have not been fulfilled and it is a gross violation of the international laws. This conflict is not frozen but is an extended conflict. There are still confrontations in the frontline. The solution to the conflict is inevitable. Khojali tragedy is one of the biggest tragedies of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. However, the former president of Armenia Serge Sargisyan who is one of the committees of the tragedy is still at large. The conflict should sooner be solved within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Only after this Armenian and Azerbaijani community of the Nagorno Karabakh can live together. We can co-exist with any Armenian civilian who recognizes Azerbaijan’s sovereignty. There is no place for Armenian soldiers in Azerbaijani territories."

Note that an appeal has been addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonius Guterres, on the completion of the 25th anniversary of the ceasefire agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
