“Establishment of Baku Platform to contribute to the peaceful settlement of problems. The purpose of the platform is to contribute to the solution of existing challenges and problems in the region,” President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) George Tsereteli told reporters, APA reports.
According to him, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly works in many areas in terms of conflict prevention and resolution, economic cooperation and human rights.
George Tsereteli noted that, besides adopting resolutions and holding discussions at the Parliamentary Assembly, the main goal of the OSCE PA is to work closely with the national parliaments - the German Bundestag, the Turkish Parliament, and the Azerbaijani Parliament.
“We hope that this format will expand in the future and more countries will join the platform in order to contribute to peace, stability, and cooperation. This is a very inclusive process,” Tsereteli stated.
