On July 14, 2019, Georgia's ambassador to Azerbaijan was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and appropriate explanation was requested over the fact that a group of Georgian citizens attacked the border guard service near the Keshikchidagh complex in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan violating the state border and insulting them, APA reports.
The Minister of FA regretted such kinds of incidents are completely contrary to nature of existing strategic cooperation relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia: “We assess it as sabotage aimed at the establishment of a conflict between two countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan requires the opposite side to take investigate the incident and relevant measures, and inform the Ministry of FA of Azerbaijan about done works."
