"About 70% of work on uncoordinated areas of Georgian-Azerbaijani border has been completed and only 30% is waiting for the solution. This 30 % will be completed soon through negotiations,” Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani said during a parliamentary listening in the "ministerial hour" format, APA’s Georgian bureau reports.

Georgian FM stated the joint commission on delimitation and demarcation of the borders of Azerbaijan and Georgia is actively working on both sides and the solution of this issue is of great importance for further strengthening of relations between the two countries: "Azerbaijan is a friendly and strategic partner country for us. There have not been any problem between two countries and should not be. This is completely open theme. Unfortunately since this issue was not clarified during the Soviet period, the solution has become a problem today. But we have updated the staff of relevant commission and the measures are underway by both Georgian and Azerbaijani sides. This is an important issue for us. We will do our best to have no problem with our partner country and find a solution to this problem,” the Georgian minister stressed.
