The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Vakhtang Gomelauri has met with Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia Dursun Hasanov, the Ministry stated, APA’s Georgian bureau reports.
According to the statement, Ambassador Dursun Hasanov has presented an official letter of congratulation to Vakhtang Gomelauri on the occasion of his appointment as Minister of Internal Affairs.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of regional security between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the two countries as well as cooperation in the fight against international organized crime and prospects for further cooperation.
Vakhtang Gomelauri thanked the ambassador for the official congratulation letter. He said that he plans to pay a visit to Azerbaijan in the upcoming future.
