Kazakhstan MFA: “There is constructive political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan”

“There is constructive political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan”, published on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan regarding 27th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

It was noted that Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan hold similar positions in regional and international matters. Bilateral relations between two countries are developing according to the provisions of agreement on strategic partnership and alliance relations signed in 2005 in Baku: “Friendship ties between first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and nation-wide leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev are currently continuing with President Ilham Aliyev”.

Trade turnover between countries amounted to $258,3 million in 2018. More than 30 meetings held between Presidents, Prime ministers, foreign ministers and other ministries during the last year. Transport and logistics sector which forms the basis bilateral trade and economic relations is growing and developing.

“Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation contributes to bilateral economic cooperation. Our multilateral cooperation is built on mutual trust. Our positions on current issues on the international agenda are similar”, Kazakhstan MFA stated.
