Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with the High Representative for UNAOC

On the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with the High Representative of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, Miguel Ángel Moratinos, the Ministry told APA.

The sides exchanged views on the existing cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Alliance.

They highly appreciated the current level of mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UNAOC and underlined the importance of the Alliance's active role in the fight against the current challenges.

Miguel Ángel Moratinos highly valued the role of Azerbaijan in promoting the dialogue among different religions and ethnic groups, and the multicultural values and in this regard mentioned various events/conferences initiated by Azerbaijan.

The sides also discussed the upcoming Baku Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement and the chairmanship of Azerbaijan in the Movement.
