Russian political scientist: "Azerbaijani army is ready for war to liberate Nagorno-Karabakh from occupation"

"According to Kazan principles, Armenia should return seven occupied regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan," said Director of the Russian Institute for Political Studies Sergey Markov at the conference “Azerbaijan at the European Space”, ONA reports.

Markov said that Azerbaijan would eliminate the blockade instead of this: "Nagorno-Karabakh should be given temporary status, militia should be withdrawn, OSCE peacekeepers should be on the contact line. At present, negotiations are underway on the principles of Kazan ".

S. Markov noted that Armenia was stronger than Azerbaijan in 1992: "But Azerbaijan has been rapidly developing over the past period. Azerbaijan's economy and army are stronger, with a population of about 10 million. At present Azerbaijan's military budget is more than Armenia's state budget. This shows that the Azerbaijani army is ready for war to liberate Nagorno-Karabakh. If the conflict is not resolved around the principles of Kazan and the other principles, the Azerbaijani army is ready for war."
