US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo proposed holding a regular meeting of foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia in the United States, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said in a joint press conference with his Polish counterpart in Warsaw, ONA reports.
Mr. Mammadyarov noted that the last meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia was held in Moscow on the initiative of their Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
According to Elmar Mammadyarov, with a double or triple increase in efforts together with Russia, one can hope for progress in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
He also thanked Poland for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
