Turkic Council released a statement on occasion of Azerbaijan’s decision to exempt Turkish citizens from visa requirements

Turkic Council released a statement regarding Azerbaijan’s decision to exempt Turkish citizens from the visa requirements, APA reports citing official web-site of the Council.

“The Secretariat of the Turkic Council welcomes the decision of Azerbaijan to abolish visa requirements for Turkish citizens, which will be effective as of 1 September 2019.

The facilitation of visa regime between Azerbaijan and Turkey will serve as the anchor point drawing the two brotherly countries closer together by boosting bilateral trade, stimulating tourism growth and ensuring the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in both countries.

We congratulate brotherly countries Azerbaijan and Turkey for this important decision that will further deepen cooperation among the Turkic Speaking States and help ensure continued prosperity and welfare of the Turkic World”, said in the statement.
