Turkish President: "It is our brotherly duty to stand with one another in national struggles"

"We hope the UN General Assembly and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to grant observer status to the Turkish Council," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the VII Summit of the Turkic Council in Baku, APA reports.

The Turkish President emphasized the importance of action in a unified manner of Diaspora organizations of the Turkic Council.

Reminding Turkish Army’s military operation named Peace Spring in northern Syria, Erdogan noted that he expects strong support from Turkic Council in his country’s struggle against terrorism: “We know that 300 million Turkic World stands with us. At the same time, I ask you to continue your support to us against the struggle with FETO. It is the brotherly duty of Turkic speaking states standing with one another in national struggles.”
