Vassilis Maragos: “Azerbaijan and EU agree on partnership priorities”

“Azerbaijan and EU have agreed on partnership priorities,” said Vassilis Maragos, Head of the Unit of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, APA reports.

“We are now negotiating a new partnership agreement that addresses the broader and larger requirements. This agreement will take our relations to a new level,” Maragos stated.

He stressed that the EU will make new proposals regarding the Eastern Partnership countries: "We will put forward these proposals at the end of Croatian chairmanship, in the Eastern Partnership Summit to be held in the first half of 2020".

Vassilis Maragos noted that the exact date of the summit has not yet been unveiled.
