Vusal Huseynov: “Azerbaijan is one of the countries hosting a large number of IDPs”

“Azerbaijan is one of the countries hosting a large number of IDPs”, said the Chairman of the State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov the 5th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue held under the slogan “Building Dialogue into Action against Discrimination, Inequality, and Violent Conflict”.

He stated that a number of documents and resolutions have been approved regarding this issue, however, the IDPs did not return back to their homelands: “There is not a unique approach about this problem. Azerbaijan is always loyal to its international commitment and signed all related documents regarding migration.”

Chairman of the Service stated that Azerbaijan turned into the popular country for migrants because there are secure environment and multicultural policy in this country: “Numbers also shows this. Migrants consider Azerbaijan as one of the available places to reside.”
