Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan Rafael Harpaz told journalists that in the short run, an agreement on visa-free travel to Israel will be signed for Azerbaijani citizens having diplomatic and service passports: “A number of Azerbaijanis are currently traveling to Israel. We don’t highlight the lifting of visas between the two countries. The issue of visa-free travel will be solved soon, because Azerbaijan is very important for us.”
Asked about whether any Israeli delegation is expected to visit Azerbaijan, the ambassador noted that Israeli companies will participate in Bakutel exhibition. Noting that the three Nobel Prize winners attended Baku Humanitarian Forum in Baku this year, Harpaz said their number will increase in the future.
