Baku adequately reacts to visits of representatives of the illegal regime created in Azerbaijan’s occupied territories to foreign countries, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.

“Wherever the illegitimate regime’s representatives go, we send a note of protest. In the first place, we voice our displeasure at any meeting with government or other officials,” Mammadyarov said at a press conference held following the Non-Aligned Mid-Term Ministerial Conference in Baku on Friday, APA reports.

Azerbaijan’s top diplomat went on to say that the latest visit to Moscow a representative of the separatist regime in Nagorno-Karabakh will also be investigated.

“If needed, we will make a statement,” he added.

Mammadyarov said that Baku is still waiting for a reply to the note of protest presented to the French government.

“The US Department of State official, on the other hand, stated that they do not recognize Nagorno-Karabakh as an independent state,” he added.
