The average voter turnout in European countries is less than Azerbaijan, Baltic Assembly President, head of the Lithuanian parliament delegation Valerijus Simulik said in Baku on April 12, APA reports.

"Our members observed the voting process in several polling stations in Baku. I’m very glad that serious preparations had been made for the election,” he noted.

Simulik noted that they witnessed a high voter turnout in the April 11 election.

"Everyone was voting freely. Your people were quite active in the voting. The average voter turnout in European countries is less than here [in Azerbaijan]. The election process took place in full compliance with the law,” he added.
