Iran condemns the terrorist attack in Azerbaijan’s Ganja city and hopes the health of the victim will soon improve, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Monday.

Qasemi was commenting on reports alleging that those responsible for a terrorist attack against the mayor of Azerbaijan’s Ganja city Elmar Valiyev was trained in Iran, an APA correspondent reported from Tehran.

“We hope that we will not witness such events in the world, especially in neighboring countries. We are interested in peaceful and stable development of our neighboring countries. We think that the stability of neighboring countries is a stability of whole region. We condemn this event and declare that certain centers have recently aunched a psychological war against Iran. By disseminating false news, they put forward various charges against Iran. We ask our friends to pay attention to the psychological war of Iran’s enemies and to keep their eyes open,” the spokesman added.
