Ambassador: "Dynamics of Azerbaijani-Russian political relations was high last year"

"We have an active cooperation in economic field," said Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov, APA reports.

Ambassador brought to the attention that dynamics of political relations was high last year: "There was an active contact between presidents last year, Azerbaijani and Russian presidents met 4 times. There was cooperation at the Parliamentary level too. Visit of Speaker of Parliament to Moscow, visits of Russian Deputy Prime Minister to Azerbaijan were observed. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held meetings with Azerbaijani counterpart, conducted telephone conversations in different months."

M. Bocharnikov stressed that trade turnover between two countries was USD 2.9 bln. over 11 months of the previous year and the figure could reach USD 3 bln. with the December indicator.
